Are Tanzanian Lawmakers Linked To Black Magic Trade In Albino Body Parts?

Hot on the heels of reports of politicians in Tanzania being publicly warned by their Deputy Home Affairs that a link has been made to some of them buying potions from witch doctors and a 'wave of attacks on albinos whose body parts are prized in black magic,' we hear news of more election related supernatural skullduggery.

So fear not if you are a reader from the USA and thought it was only in your parts of the world that there were large swathes of the population indoctrinated into tales of sky gods and terror, who have placed on earth their divinely appointed mouth pieces to scare the shit out of you and manipulate your vote.

No siree, there is more of it going on than what's reported through the endless channels on your television.

Regional election time in India highlights far flung operators of the fear franchise, using far more rudimentary technology but nonetheless, gaining results of a kind it would appear.

The Hindu reports that villagers :-

"were in a state of fear when lemons, cut into pieces, and spinkled with colours on a green cloth were found in front of all polling booths in Madan Hipparaga village in Aland taluk in Kalaburagi district on Monday."

It was suspected that there was 'black magic' performed in booths in all eight wards where the election was taking place.

Elsewhere in India we once again see a report in thehindu.com that a resident of Yaddrami village in Jewargi taluk, named Bheemashanker was arrested by police after being apprehended by police whilst :-

"allegedly performing black magic in a graveyard during polling hours."

Unfortunately the report is brief and does not specify if Bheemashanker's brand black magic is indeed legitimate to practice in graveyards outside of polling hours.

An unsettling theory reaches us today from Tanzania, where the Deputy Home Affairs Minister, Pereira Silima, speculated that law makers may be responsible for a 'wave of attacks on albinos whose body parts are prized in black magic.'

The minister said that reports linking politicians to albino killings 'could be true' since attacks rose during election periods.

Tanzania placed a ban earlier this year, on what it perceives to be 'black magic' in order to try to put a stop to a trade in albino body parts which are used in spells and charms which are meant to bring luck and wealth.  Obviously the luck and wealth of the albino victims is not figuring on the radar of someone here.

Silima took the step of officially warning other politicians away from witch doctors in a parliamentary speech.  He told them that there 'won't be any parliamentary seat that will be won as a result of using albino body parts.'

The article reports that witch doctors will pay as much as $75 000 for a full set of albino body parts, according to a Red Cross report.

Depressingly, a Canadian non-profit organisation working in Tanzania ''said an investigative report eight years ago exposed politicians who sought magic potions from witch doctors to win elections but this was the first time that the link was made in parliament.'

In further news of Black Magic in Africa,  Ghana goalkeeper Daniel Agyei has told the media that he left his old team, South African Free State Stars, as he would not get involved in 'black magic.'

Agyei claims that after returning from a string of injuries the club wanted to apply some cream to him.  But according to Agyei, he refused, as there was 'no mention of any cream in the contract.'

He also went on to say :-

“They call it ‘Muti’ there but in Ghana we call it ‘Juju’.

3,800 Year Old Black Magician Apprehended By Dubai Customs

Further information has come to light via www.emirates247.com regarding a black magician who was apprehended by customs officers at Dubai international airport.

As we previoulsy reported, a man entering Dubai was detained and subsequently banned from entering the UAE for life after being found to be wearing an unusually large amount of belts which were deemed to be for the purposes of 'black magic.'

Hassan Ibrahim, Senior Inspection Officer with Dubai Customs recounts the tale and says that when the man was asked where he was from, he insisted that he was not born, but he was created  in Dubai!

The conversation apparently went thus :-

Duty Officer: “How are you? Where are you from?”
Passenger: “I am from here.”
Duty Officer: (Surprised) “What do you mean, from here?”
Passenger: “From the UAE.”
Duty Officer: “Which part of the UAE are you from?”
Passenger:  “I was created in the UAE 3,800 years ago.

The reportedly 'high level black magician' continued to assert his story even though his appearance was said to be African and he held an African passport, although he did speak in classical Arabic throughout the conversation.

Inspectors state that among the possessions of the man were heads and tails of dead snakes, animal bones, the head of a rooster, animal skins, ampoules of blood and lots of paper marked with symbols drawn in saffron and blood.  Obviously not a standard chefs stock larder.

The man started out by being a little confrontational and threatened to put a curse on the customs officer if he did not comply with his wishes.  The officer, Hassan Ibrahim, a striking fellow who doesn't look like someone you might want to mess around with states that he explained that procedure needed to be followed and he would be processed according to local statute.

The man then had his personal effects confiscated and was subsequently given a lifetime ban from entering UAE in the future.

It's not often that a story or quote stops us dead in our tracks here at Ghost Stories, however, a report in themalaymailonline.com has done just that in a most jarring way.

The article recounts a harrowing tale of still born baby parts that were found by workers at a sewerage treatment plant servicing a block of flats providing low cost housing for residents.  The workers found a number of body parts and on assembling them found that they were from a baby. Assistant Commander Mohammad Khamsani Abdul Rahman was quoted as saying that he believed that there was an attempt at an abortion and that he believed that the woman involved may have panicked and disposed of the baby by chopping it up and flushing it down the toilet.

All of this is sad enough for anyone that was involved.  The pain of the pregnant woman and the shock of those finding the body parts is beyond comprehension.

A quote from Assistant Commander Mohammad Khamsani Abdul Rahman later in the article however, begs further examination.

Responding to wild accusations from locals that the death of the baby may in some way be connected to black magic rituals, the Assistant Commander responded thus, according to themalaymailonline.com :-

'He dismissed speculation that black magic was involved as only babies who are alive are used as a sacrifice.'

Really?  Are Malaysian police aware of babies being used for the purposes of sacrifice in so called black magic rituals?

And if they are, what are they doing about it?

Today's round up of deluded dupes takes us first to Malaysia, where a man held his wife, mother and three daughters captive for over seven hours after accusing the two adult females of using black magic on him according to thestar.com.my. The police were alerted by neighbors after they heard cries from women in the house and they were unable to get a reply when knocking at the door.

The lead police negotiator told reporters that he tried to 'use religion to pacify the man to lay down his weapon and surrender but that didn't work.'

He also added that he 'noticed during the negotiation, the man was mumbling weird chants and knew this was a non-negotiable case.'

The siege was satisfactorily concluded, although all of the hostages sustained minor injuries, according to the report.

A bizarre tale which perhaps has lost something in translation reaches us via gulf-times.com. The report recounts a tale of a Pakistani man who has been sentenced to death for murder by a court in Doha.

The man apparently used to 'accompany' his victim on car journeys to 'various places.'  According to the article, the victim decided to 'break up' with his traveling companion and future murderer at which point the accused traveled back to his home country where he used 'black magic' in order to get their friendship 'back on track.'

The report goes on to say that ' This never worked out, so he started a fight with [the] victim when he came back to Doha and killed him.'

 Hmmm......

Meanwhile, at Dubai airport, emirates247.com tell us that a man has been detained for suspected sorcery, although the report does not elaborate on his fate.  The man was detained on suspicion of witchcraft after arriving from Africa whilst wearing twenty belts around his waist.  The belts made from, amongst other things,  animal skin, animal bones and papers with symbols written on them, also had 'improved buckles' and locks meaning that they were for permanent wear.

Further examination of the travelers luggage also revealed he was carrying 'candles, a couple of belts, dead scorpions, a rope made of braided human hair and drawings with unusual symbols.'

Hassan Ibrahim, Senior Inspections Officer at Dubai Customs told reporters 'These practices are completely illegal in our country, against our regulations, and these sorcerers are dangerous to our society and a threat to the safety of the UAE.'

More Women (and men) Attacked and Killed For Allegedly Practicing Witchcraft (In Florida too?!!)

Week after week there are more reports of women being beaten, tortured and murdered for allegedly practicing witchcraft in remote areas around the world and often it seems that authorities are unable or unwilling to educate possible perpetrators and protect the vulnerable.

As we have previously reported on Ghost Stories, the European Union is currently funding a nationwide project in Tanzania worth 300million euros to protect women and educate communities due to the large amount of especially older women who are subjected to violent attacks and murder after being accused of 'witchcraft.'

This week, we receive further reports of women and men being subjected to violent attacks under the pretense of practicing 'black magic.'

Today, in Bihar, eastern India, we hear from zeenews.india.com that an elderly couple have been killed by their neighbours for allegedly practicing witchcraft.  The couple, Janki Manjhi and his wife Lakshminia Devi had their throats slit late on Friday in Pathra village of Gaya district says the report.

It goes on to report that 'The practice of branding women as witches and torturing them continues unabated in the remote and rural areas of Bihar.'

And further still 'two years ago, the Bihar Human Rights Commission had directed the state to expedite probe and trials in cases related to offences under the Prevention of Witch Hunting Act, 1999.'

A second such case has been recorded, of all places in THE UNITED STATES, St Augustine Florida where a heavily pregnant woman was attacked with a rock (see video) by her neighbor who accused her of practicing witchcraft and black magic in order to harm her family.

The huge rock used in the attack, which is shown in the video luckily only hit the victim, Esther Horton on the arm and didn't cause as much harm as it could have.

The attacker, Annie Olomua has been arrested for aggravated assault and is being held at St John's County jail.

India - State Government To Enact Law Banning Black Magic

Sanity continues to shine in the face of madness in India, where the Minister for Home, Ramesh Chennithala, has announced that the state government is intending to enact a law 'to stop the practise (sic) of witchcraft or black magic,' according to thehindu.com.

 In a stunning display of conflating issues, looseness of language and just plain sloppy thinking, the minister said the 'police had received several complaints from people of exploitation by witchcraft practitioners.'

It is doubtful that there is anything as complicated as black magic rituals or witchcraft occurring in these cases of course.  However, what these cases more than likely entails is nefarious individuals using the cover of black magic and the occult to fleece people of their hard earned cash in return for some irresistible reward such as success in business or the promise of everlasting life in the hereafter.

Whilst we agree that people need to be educated to a standard that allows them to understand that they are being duped for their cash, if they are still then foolish enough to give up their hard earned cash for intangible rewards, that's their look out.

After all, Billy Graham got away with it for years and is still free in the United States after 96 years of religious scamming.
