Servants Of God Refuse To Speak To Journalists After Acrobatic Exorcism

Where exorcism by 'Christians' is concerned, events move on apace, but stay much the same.

This week, we note that in Kenya, a group who call themselves the 'servants of god' have administered an exorcism that includes some familiar evidence of physical abuse, mixed with some novel acrobatics that set it somewhat apart from the run of the mill abusive Roman Catholic Exorcism.

The victims this time, were a poor family in Kilifi county, Kenya.

The blind leading the blind

Apparently, according to the wife of 'the head of the family' the family home has been plagued by disease and poverty and the obvious recourse in this situation is exorcism.  This being the case, they called in the Wahudumu group from Kenya Revival Church, who also go by the pseudonym, 'servants of god.'

According to classic105.com  'the group tied the legs of the family members, allegedly to prevent the demons’ powers from confronting the healer. They smeared coconut oil on the family and poured buckets of water on them, before doing somersaults over their bodies.'

Family head Francis Katana reported to journalists that he has had problems with his eyesight for three years and the hospital hadn't helped and at least the 'exorcism' had made him feel better.  Sadly, he did not report the holy rite actually having any benefit to his eye condition.

Neighbours seemed to be somewhat split on the effectiveness of the performance.

Some said the exorcism would help cleanse the family, others said that they had never seen such shenanigans.

Unsurprisingly, the exorcists themselves were somewhat bashful and would not respond to journalists questions regarding their activities.  And who are we to judge when 'servants of god' have a busy schedule of tying up victims and 'smearing' their bodies in 'coconut oil.'

Takes all sorts!
