Over in Islamabad, Pakistan, a woman has had a close escape after what appears to be an attempt by her to win back the hand of her ex husband in marriage using occult methods.
The plot, detailed at dawn.com, involved a magical spell which was activated by burying a doll made by a 'spritual teacher' in a grave. This, apparently, would aid the woman in her endeavor to return her lost love.
The couple had originally traveled from Lahore to 'practice magic on the hills' with their spiritual guru.
The plot, alas, was rudely curtailed by the son of the man who was buried in the grave, visiting the grave at the same time as the couple were busy burying the doll.
The son then obtained contact details for the 'spritual teacher,' who, obviously thinking it a good idea, promptly attended the graveside to confirm the couples story and also to take credit for the making of the doll. Possibly one of the most audacious, yet stupid attempts at marketing services that we have ever heard of here at Ghost Stories.
The son then phoned the police, who on attendance were relayed the story of what had occurred. The police detained all three culprits.
Later, the son of the corpse told police that the woman was innocent but he wanted to pursue legal action against the two men.
Somehow, one can't help feeling that there is a missing element somewhere in this story.
But hey, just when you thought this was going to be yet another story about religious madness, it turns out to be one of rampant sexism against the poorly male. Don't be surprised if it doesn't soon end up in a story about militant feminism by that fool Paul Joseph Watson over at Infowars.
